Dustin's condition

We went to Allergy Specialist this morning for Dustin’s appointment. We didn’t wait until next year for Dustin’s appointment; instead we moved the schedule early because of Dustin’s condition. His sinus infection didn’t go away even though he took antibiotic for 3 weeks. The antibiotic didn’t help a lot. We don’t want to rely on the antibiotic; we need to find out what’s going on in Dustin’s nose. It’s been a long time since he has this sinus infection. I feel pity on him because he keeps blowing his nose all the time and sometimes he’s having hard time breathing with his nose. Good thing because tomorrow morning at 9:15, we will go to St. Mary’s Hospital here in Grand Junction to get Dustin CT Scan. This might be a good idea so that the Doctor can find out the reason why Dustin suffers this bad sinus infection. Poor little guy, hopefully he will feel better before the year end.

Teething...

When your baby is teething, it’s really hard for them to please. They keep crying and if you never let them do what they want, then they will throw a pit on you. At night, you won’t have a good night sleep because they keep waking you up. I am just worried because most babies when they are teething, they get sick and have fever. Dana my 10 month’s old little girl, her tooth just came out. There’s another one coming too. She keeps biting her finger and rubs her tongue into his tooth. We called her snuggle tooth. He is so cute when she smiled. But she’s not good when she cry! Because she really can scream! Hehe.

New addiction

Why is it that when they started to learn new things, they get more interested and become more addicted? Dustin my 3 years old son and will be 4 this coming January 2nd. He just started to learn how to use computer and play games online for kids. I keep trying not to get him more interested but I think I am wrong. He’s a smart kid and his learning with his own. He knows how to open the computer now, write his name using the keyboard; he knows how to open different kinds of games. Now he is into it. Sometimes I am having hard time, telling him to turn off the computer and play his toys in his bedroom because he is crying after I turn the computer of. He always says that he wants to play game and he enjoyed it. I always hear him saying, he wants to play his game and he never stop crying. Oh Boy! I think I need to make him stop with this new addiction and try to make him understand that it’s not good for him to play games all the time. I will let him play if I am around or he can play about an hour or so, as long not all day.

Dustin playing online

Dustin will be four years old next year first week of January the 2nd. He is smart enough to use computer. Actually, it’s not really good to let your kids be interested in the computer because they learn so fast and we know that computer has everything that you can imagine. If they get so interested, they might open other websites that is not prohibited to them. Just like the pornography website, adult site and other things. I let Dustin use my laptop if I am around. I only let him to play Ice Age the Icebreaker game. Even he keep telling me that he wants to play race car games, I always say no to race car games because he still don’t know how to use the keyboard, unlike the ice age games, its easy because he only need to use the space and the left and right bar. Some of the kids games are very complicated and if I let him play those kind of sport games online, he might get addicted to it and I don’t want to make it happen.

Renew Intensive Skin Therapy

Dana is suffering eczema for her first three months. We use different kind of moisturizer but none of them works. We use Eucerin and Aveeno. It works at first but Dana’s eczema always came back. She still have little bit in her cheeks. Her Pediatrician recommended us to use Eucerin Aquafor. I like that one too but it’s little bit oily. We also try to mix the Aquafor with Hydrocortisone cream. We noticed the changes right away. Her skin started to cleared up. After a week her eczema on her cheek came back again. One day, one of our sister gave us a “Renew Intensive Skin Therapy” from “Melaleuca”. She said that she used this moisturizer when her kids suffer eczema and it really works! We try it and I like it! Dana’s face is very soft and the eczema in her cheeks disappear. It smells good too! I told her to order me one because I already run out and I will pay her this weekend. So, if your kids suffer eczema, Renew Intensive Skin Therapy from Melaleuca is the one I will absolutely recommend. Try it and you’ll see the difference!

Dana's first time in snow!

Dana's first time in snow photos! This is her first time to go out in snow. She likes it a lot, she wants to sit down and grab the snow. We didn't stay too long because her face is freezing cold. I need to wrap her with a blanket to keep her warm. She looks cutie in her jacket with her hat on and gloves. :-)

Look who's walking?

Look who's walking! She is so tiny isn't she? She's very happy that she can push her little stroller by herself. She did it and I'm so happy that she really enjoy pushing her stroller.

Nice shot of her! I captured the moment that she's waiting for! to walk alone with the help of her little stroller. hehe ;-)
Daddy helping her to get up because she fell.

10 months old Dana

Dana is 10 months old now and she’s almost walking! Maybe few months more, she can walk by herself without any support. She don’t want me to hold her both hands. For her, one hand is enough. Sometimes she forgot to hold my hand and just walk. She did good though because she can walk 5 or more steps. She fall in her butt most of the time and she got scared every time she fall. The thing that she likes the most is to crawl and walk going to the bathroom. I know bathroom is not a very good place to play because there are many germs in it but of course I make it sure that the bathroom is clean. She just like to stand up in the bathtub and play the curtain. That’s why I always keep an eye on her all the time because she crawl so fast now and I don’t want her to get hurt. She loves to play under the table and play peek-a-boo. So cute to watch her doing that. For 10 months old? She’s kind a mature in that age. She’s a smart little girl. She knows what she wants, she wants to see what I am doing just like cooking, cleaning, washing, folding clothes and when his big brother Dustin brushes his teeth, she wants to see it! She’s curious in everything!

Dustin's little town

Here is a picture of his little down town. He is the one who arranged it and park all his toy cars. He even don’t want me to touch it or even to clean his bedroom. When his little sister Dana comes in, he close the door right away. He don’t want Dana play his cars. Like what I said, Dustin is very imaginative, he likes to explore things and to play pretend. He is surely has potential to be an engineer or a businessman someday when he grow up.

Imaginative...

Dustin is very imaginative on his own way. Very creative too. He is 3 years old and will be 4 years old this coming January the 2nd. He’s into cars. Well, I think all little boys love to play cars. Every time his dad came home from work, he always says “dad, did you bring a present for me?” He already used to it, because mostly his dad bring a little toy car for him. Actually he has hundreds of little cars. We got it from garage sale, one box full of different kind of cars just only for $5.00. Isn’t that cheap? We got it cheaper than to buy at the store. Having lots of cars is still not enough for him. He still want more but in different style and different colors. At least he didn’t ask any expensive cars. He wants those cheap small cars for a buck.

I think it works!

It’s been three days since we took Dustin at the Allergy Specialist. We already noticed the changes. The antibiotic helps a lot. His runny nose cleared up, it’s not color yellow anymore and it looks clear now than before. He don’t have hard time sleeping. With the help of the hot water mist that we bought at Rite Aid, he can sleep better at night now. I think the medication really works! But as usual he still blowing his nose but not all the time. He is still a happy, energetic little boy and we are hoping that he will get over his sinus infection.

Sinus Infection

We took Dustin three days ago of November 24 at the Allergy Specialist. We’re worried about his sinus because it didn’t go away. It’s been almost a year that he has problem in his nose. He never stop blowing and snipping. His nose always plugged up with mucus. It seems like it doesn’t bother him that much because he is still energetic and have lot of energy. The Doctor says, that when the kids has sinus infection, they doesn’t feel any pain at all. He also says that Dustin don’t have any skin reaction when they did the skin test for allergen. So, his nose problem is not cause of any allergy, it was sinus infection. He has a sinus infection for almost a year now. We even didn’t find out right away. We thought that Dustin nose problem is cause of weather changes or something, he has allergic to any dust, food or anything. Even his Pediatrician can‘t tell that he has sinus infection. Make us wonder why? She keep giving us prescription for him to try but none of them works. We are so thankful to find out about the cause of his runny nose. We are glad to bring him to the Specialist. Now, we are hoping that the Doctor prescription “the antibiotic”, will help Dustin to feel better.

Watch his favorite movie again?

When Dustin likes the movie? I am sure he will watch the movie many times. We just got the “Transformer” last month and now Mike bought a new movie “Star Trek”. We watch it last night and right before he woke up this morning, the first thing he wants to do is to watch the movie Star Trek again. It’s 8:00 am and I think it’s too early for him to watch TV. I told him, if he finish his breakfast then I will let him watch the movie but If not? Then no TV for the day. Guess what? He eat his breakfast as fast as he can and he says “mommy, I’m done! Can I watch the movie now?’ What a smart kid! He can’t even wait! When the movie is done, he turned it off and went to his bedroom and play his toy. What a good boy! I was very surprised. It’s 12 noon now and its time for us to have lunch, you know what? He ate his lunch around 11:00 am and he told me that he is not hungry that he is a good boy but he ask me to turn the TV on and he wants to watch the “Transformer”. And I said “AGAIN?”. Well, I think that’s what the kid is.. If they want and like something, they want to see it over and over again.

Drooling and Teething?

Drooling is one of the signs when the baby starts teething. Dana gums starting to get hard and seems like she’s ready to have her teeth come out. She keeps biting her finger and because of drooling, she started to have facial rash in her cheek and ears. We use different kind of moisturizer and I think the Eucerin Aquapor helps a lot. That is her pediatrician recommended. As what I noticed, she doesn’t have discomfort at all especially when she sleep at night. For her food, I gave her cheerios in the morning, rice cereal for her lunch and dinner. She doesn’t eat much of her food. I think she love to try adult food! We give her little bit of our food and she’s happy. But we need to be careful because it will affect her bowel movement. So far, we are very aware that sooner or later her teeth will come out and hopefully she won’t have any symptoms or problems when that time comes.

There she is! Almost walking!

She will be 9 months this coming 26th of November. And look! She’s moving around while holding on to furniture especially in chairs and tables. She pull herself up into standing position and try to reach everything she see in the table. She loves to walk than to crawl. She grab my one hand and go! While she’s doing that, she’s making a lot of noise, saying “mama”, “tata”, “dada”, “deeaah”. So cute every time I hear her saying that. It melt’s my heart when she call me “mama”. Sometimes her dad get jealous because she rather say “mama” than “dada”. I am sure few months from now, she will learn more words. For now, she’s a happy and energetic girl. She has a lot of energy that makes me worn out. hehe :-)

At the crib...

At the crib, where Dana and Dustin having fun together. I love watching them playing together. It's nice that Dana has a play mate! She's happy to have a big brother!

Dustin is playing peek-a-boo to Dana. Dana pinch Dustin nose. It was so cute!

She's crawling!

My husband was gone for two weeks. He missed a lot of things! He didn’t see Dana crawling yet, so I am sure when he come back, he will be surprise on how Dana changed a lot since he left. He will be back tomorrow afternoon. He went to Alamosa for work. Two weeks is kind a long week! Its hard for me not see him for two weeks. But I can’t do anything about it. He needs to work and we need the money. Anyway, Dana will be 8 months old this coming 26th of October. She knows how to crawl now and she look so adorable when she crawl. She is just a sweetie pie. She knows how to stand up by lifting her body up. She can also say “mama”. Every morning she say “mmmmmamma” isn’t that cute? My heart felt joy every time I hear her saying that words. I can’t wait to see her walking and start to talk. Here is the video I took yesterday when she crawled.

PVC Sheet

We been looking for a pvc sheet that we can use in our patio. We never finished the whole room but we heard that pvc sheet is an excellent electrical insulation and it works well in temperatures, wet or dry, up to 160 degrees, so maybe this one will be a good idea to use. Though I don’t know how this one works but I am sure it will works well. So, I will leave it up to my husband then. Talking about pvc sheet, I came across this website at interstateplastic.com. They offer plastic rods, sheets and tubes. If you are looking for a plastic rods, sheets and tubes then interstateplastic.com is the right place to visit!

Yellow Dress

At last, I had a chance to touch my sewing machine again. It’s been a long time I didn’t make another dress for my baby girl. This Sunday is our assembly. So, I decided to make a nice pretty dress for Dana. It takes me whole day to finish it and I’m so happy with the outcome. Here is the pretty yellow dress I made for her. Isn’t that lovely?

Excited...

Two days more, I will make my dedication through baptism. I will get baptized and become one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. It was really a big privilege for me. I think I did a right decision. I am happy spiritually and I am willing to serve Jehovah wholeheartedly. Not only for myself but also for my kids and family. I learned a lot for my bible study and I gain more knowledge from it. I am excited and overwhelmed, can’t describe my feeling.

Dana at 7months

Dana will be 7 months old this coming 23rd of September. Days went by so fast and I can’t believe how fast she grow. There are many changes of course. She can sit alone now and she’s really good in roll over. When you held her, she try to push you away and wants to get down. She plays a lot now with her big brother Dustin. They play a lot and laugh each other. She already know how to pick cheerios and put it in her mouth. We just started giving her cheerios last week. So far, she did really good. She also sleep pretty good at night, I don’t have any problem with that. She woke up around 7:00 am with a smile in her face. She doesn’t crawl yet but I think she might ends up walking first than crawling. Anyhow, this picture is kind a blured, i forgot to adjust my camera but she looks pretty in this photo. So pretty in her green dress. Her big brother Dustin love to call her Princess Dana :-)

I'm back!

It’s been two weeks since my last post. Sorry for not updating my blog this past few weeks. I never had a chance to update because my mother-in-law was here. Pap Test Result

I received my pap test result from the mail yesterday and im so happy for the result. It said it was normal. Thats a big relief for me hehe :-) You know it scares me a lot especially when they do any kind of test. Its hard to hear if they find out that something is not right or something was wrong. It is more easy to accept if you can just receive a normal result. Well, im happy with it and im looking forward also for my kids appointment next month. I re-schedule it, instead of this Friday i re-schedule it for September 28 because we will going to have a garage sale this Friday and Saturday. So will see about that...

Coupons for Home Depot

Who wouldn’t like to get a discount? Of course all people like discounts. Coupons is the other way to get a discount that’s why I kept some of the coupons I got from the store and also I search coupon codes online too. That’s the only way we can saved money. Every purchased we make, we saved couple of dollars. it’s a big helps to us if we have coupons on every purchased.

Last week, we’re just starting building my 3 years old son a sand box and my husband planning to build him a porch on the top to put the slide. I am sure it will cost us much if we can’t get any coupons. We don’t have enough budget this week but next month hopefully we can finish building Dustin’s fort. Anyhow, since we are planning to get things that we need to build the fort at Home Depot. I research it online and look for a coupons for Home Depot. I came across at savings.com, they offer a coupons for Home Depot and other merchants like Sears, Ace, Home Beyond and more. I’m so glad about it and will see if we can find the coupons we need. How about you? Looking for a online coupons? Its time to save and get a discount on your favorite merchant store. Visit savings.com for more information!

Sand Box

Having a sand box in the backyard is kind a fun. We never think about that when we moved here but since Dustin is growing up, we decided to build a sand box for him to play with his cars and trucks. We bought a sand and a trail mix. Trail mix helps a lot because he can walk now with his barefoot without hurting himself. Dustin helps a lot that time when Mike starting to build the sand box 2 days ago. Now, every afternoon when the sun's down, he is spending his time on his sand box! I play with him too! i love building castle hehe :-) Here are the photos!

Dustin can't wait to eat the mango. He just grab and eat it. He says "mango taste good". But you know what? Mango here is not as tasty as the Philippine Mango and i missed it a lot!

Pap Test

Yesterday, I went to my doctor for my Pap Test appointment. Honestly I really don’t like to have a pap test because to me its very uncomfortable. I am sure most woman feel the same way I do. Since my delivery last February, they need to schedule my pap test. They also do the physical examination so I’m glad im all done. The doctor just give me prescription for my birth control “Nuva Ring“. Well, we are thinking to try the 3 months shot but I changed my mind.

Anyway, what is Pap Test? Pap Test is a screening test to detect premalignant and malignant (cancerous) processes in the ectocervix. They will examined the cells under a microscope to look for abnormalities. So, I am waiting for my pap test result. Hopefully everything is okay and normal. They will send it after a week or two.

Baby Dana - Cutie pie...

Isn't she adorable? I love this photos, she is such a smiley girl. She loves taking picture! She smiled right away in front of the camera. She dont have teeth yet but maybe next month she will because she's drooling a lot now. :-)

Dana at 5 months old

She just turning 5 months last 26th of July. She’s growing so fast! She is such a sweetie pie. At 5 months? She is really alert. When you call her name she turn quickly. She seems know her name especially when you call her name “Dana“. I never seen Dustin been so alert like her. She also likes to walk, I am sure she will be an early walker! She just love it when you hold her both hands and let her walk. She knows what she’s doing. She knows where she wants to go to hehe :-). I think she wants to keep up with her brother. I love watching them together playing and laughing each other. She shows a strong attachment to me too because every time I put her down? she cries and don’t want me to leave her. She raise her arms and she wants me to picked her up. Here are some of the photos i took when she's walking :-)

Its been a while...

Its been a while since i didn't update this blog for couple of days due for my family situation. I think i mentioned in my other blogs that my sister is in the hospital and suffering right now. I think she has a congestive heart failure because when i research it online, the symptoms she got is same as the symptoms of having a congestive heart failure including swelling of the ankles, feet and legs, excess fluid in the lungs and heart, breathing difficulties , she got easily exhausted for exercise, fatigue or easy tiring and persistent coughing. The doctor finds out that she also has tuberculosis. She's taking anti-tb medications. She is 6 months pregnant and my sister said maybe they will going to take the baby out at 7 months because her condition is not good. I just hope that my sister and the baby will be saved.
