Sister Moving

The Author of this post is Solomon Dejesus

My sister is moving to my town. She is totally sad to be leaving all of her friends in her current town, but I am trying to convince her how awesome it is going to be to live in Texas with me. I told her that we will be able to pick each others' kids up anytime we need to, we could even do a carpool. It is just going to be so nice to have family in town. I am thinking we will never have to hire another babysitter, unless we go out together! I told her she will get to Shop Electricity Rates Texas since she is moving here, and shopping is her favorite thing to do, no matter what she is shopping for! I am picturing Wednesday nights being our nights to meet at the Mexican restaurant every week. I will finally have someone to go see all of the girly movies with me. I can't wait! I think she will be really happy once she gets here, I know it is hard to leave a place that you have lived for fifteen years. I know that change is also scary.

You Can't Run

Guest written by our friend Gladys Fuentes

As my husband and I have lived in various suburban areas, I have come to realize that no place is free from danger. No matter the demographic or location, bad people live everywhere. You can’t live behind some magic gate or wall that will provide an impermeable fortress as much as we would all love to believe that. If someone really wants to enter a home, he or she will find a way to do so. The number of break-ins is on the rise. People are living in desperate situations during desperate times. Each week, more and more people are losing their jobs, facing mounting bills, and money never seems to spread far enough. With such stress, some people feel like they have no other option than to make bad choices that they feel will help them to get out of their tough times. When it gets right down to it, all you can do is feel sorry the desperate situations these people are dealing with. This certainly does not advocate a life of crime, but when the motivation is feeding a family, your heart becomes a little less hard. To make my own family feel safe in such a day and time, I researched ADT Security Equpment. My hope is that in having good home security, my own family will feel protected in a world where decent people fall victim to bad choices of those not so fortunate.

Three Children

Contributed by Milford Woods

My husband and I have two children, and we just found out we have another one on the way. Surprise! This isn’t something we were planning on, but we could not be more excited about it. We love the idea of having a big, crazy family. We both come from big families and have incredible memories of growing up surrounded by siblings. They’re built-in best friends, really, and we’re so happy that our children will have the same memories when they get older. The only downside to having a large family is that the costs start adding up very quickly. Our kids grow like weeds and it feels like we are constantly buying new clothes. The addition of a third who will be in diapers for the foreseeable future is making us just a little nervous. So we’re cutting costs wherever we can. We’ve started to stock money away as much as possible to help offset the additional costs that come along with another baby. One of the easiest things we’ve done is call deals from Shop electricity rates Texas to save some money on our natural gas costs. It was so simple to make the switch, and we’ve already seen cost savings. We’re going to use some of the extra money to decorate the nursery for the new baby. We can’t wait to meet the little one!

My Daughter

I appreciate the guest post, Jewel Rodgers

My daughter loves living by herself but I just don’t get it. I think it would be much more fun and much safer if she were to get a roommate but she says she likes how quiet it is and she likes being able to keep the house as neat or messy as she pleases. I made her go to Http://www.securitychoice.com because I was worried about her safety but she seems to think she’s fully capable of handling herself in that townhome! My husband tells me I need to leave her alone, that I’m smothering her, but I feel like since I’m her mom that’s what she expects me to do anyway, right? I think she could save a lot of money on her mortgage by getting a roommate for that second bedroom but she won’t listen to me anyway. I guess it’s not really my place to say who lives in her house and who doesn’t so I’ll leave it up to Karen to decide these kinds of things for herself!

My Little Shop

Guest post written by Jaque Ernez

Being the proprietor of a pizza, I often times come to the store and personally thank all of my wonderful customers and encourage them to visit me again. I really try to connect with my customer and reveal my personality to them, if that makes sense, so they feel like we have a legitimate connection. I own a number of small businesses, and I am doing just fine when it comes to personal financesÉbut, I of course care about more than money, and I want to make sure that my customers have a memorable experience and really be glad that out of all the places that they could have gone in New York, they came to mine.

I do everything I can for my customers, and their positive feedback is very important to me. The other day, I was having trouble hearing some of my customers, so I purchased the Hearing Aids Free. I think it'll really help forge that connection even more! Customer service is very important to me, and I believe that is why I've been so successful over the years. The proof is in the pizza.

Homemade garlic knots to go with our meal

Guest post written by Kim Teague

I'm not the best at planning out meals. I'm great at figuring out what to fix for the entree and how to fix it. It's just that when it comes to the sides, I can't really put good stuff together. I'm not sure how that's beyond me, but it just is. So I take a lot of cues from reading online cooking blogs to figure out what goes well together. I'm getting better at it little by little.

But one thing that isn't past me is that you should serve bread with Italian dishes. Most of the time I just make some garlic toast with it, but I decided that I try fixing some other kind of bread to go with Italian dishes. When I was online trying to figure out how I could do that, I came across the site http://www.getclearwirelessinternet.com/ and after I looked through it a little bit, I decided to sign up for the internet service.

Then I found some directions on how to make a garlic knot and thought that it would be a really nice way to challenge myself. They didn't turn out as great as the ones that I've had at restaurants, but they were still pretty good.

A Simple Super Sunday

Thanks for the guest post by Esteban Vinson

I personally think it is time to just go ahead and accept the fact that the Super Bowl has become a day of national celebration. They should go ahead and formalize the deal and make the following day a national holiday. Our nation has watched a trend that began with congregating in small groups to watch the game grown into ever more formal parties. Party goers consume massive quantities of chips, dips and finger food while guzzling beer. We watch and cheer for the commercials, desperately consult the office pool and every once in a while glances at the game. When it all winds down the idea of dragging our engorged and suds soaked carcass into work the next day is so insane another trend has grown; calling in sick on the Monday after the game.

I am planning a quiet Super Bowl Sunday this year. I expect the game will be an interesting one with two old line teams that have mobile quarterbacks and great defenses. I know that I can see the game better than ever on my new big screen HDTV with its crystal clear picture delivered by DIRECT TV. A friend or two may pop over, but until they make it a national holiday for real I plan on keeping it simple.
